About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Interpret and be able to read and understand design and specifications of aspects related to highways, freeways, interchanges, streets, intersections, and multiuse trails
- Prepare, Justify, write and coordinate change orders with the Resident Engineer. Work under the direction of a Resident Engineer to lead the roadway Construction Projects.
- Support project managers with client relations, stakeholder coordination, and sub-consultant management
- Take ownership of projects from start to finish, with attention to quality, budget, and schedule
- Interface with coworkers to achieve shared success
- Availability to work onsite days, nights and weekends while projects are ongoing
- Obtain certifications related to construction engineering management
- Monitoring construction contracts
- Managing personnel and budget
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering
- Licensed EIT required, PE License a Bonus
- 0-2 years of experience in transportation engineering
- Experience working on multidisciplinary project teams
- Solid background in AASHTO roadway geometric design criteria
- Proficiency using Autodesk and/or Bentley civil design software
- Drainage design and/or traffic engineering experience is a plus
- Solid written and oral communication skills
- Self-motivated, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency with MS Office applications
- A desire to grow personally and professionally with each project assignment
