About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • As a Project Manager, you’ll lead the planning, design, and execution of roadway improvement projects for state, county, and municipal clients across Georgia.
  • Your portfolio may include:
  • - New location corridors
  • - Roadway widening
  • - Bicycle and pedestrian facilities
  • - Highway safety enhancements
  • - Intersections and interchanges
  • - Design-build projects.
  • You’ll guide projects through all phases—from advanced planning to final design and construction support—while collaborating across disciplines to deliver high-quality, on-budget solutions.
  • Key Responsibilities include:
  • - Overall management of transportation infrastructure improvement projects of varying complexity across Georgia.
  • - Provide professional engineering design services for transportation improvement projects.
  • - Oversee development of construction plans, specifications, estimates and detailed engineering calculations.
  • - Collaborate with clients, subconsultants, and internal teams to meet project goals and deadlines.
  • - Direct and mentor design support staff, fostering technical growth and alignment.
  • - Conduct engineering investigations and feasibility analyses using collected data.
  • - Evaluate alternative design solutions and contribute to critical decision-making.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
  • Georgia PE license.
  • 10-15+ years of roadway design experience, GDOT experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of AASHTO and State DOT design standards.
  • Management acumen including budgeting, scheduling, job tracking, client interaction and staff management.
  • Outstanding communication skills both verbal and written and the ability to forge strong relationships with clients, partners and your team members.
  • A proactive, detail-oriented mindset and commitment to team success.
