About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and grow a multidisciplinary structural engineering team across major infrastructure markets
  • Provide strategic direction, resource planning, and operational leadership for the structures group
  • Foster a culture of inclusion, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Oversee the delivery of complex structural design projects including bridges, transit systems, tunnels, and major public infrastructure
  • Ensure alignment with scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations
  • Serve as a senior technical leader and trusted advisor on key pursuits and projects
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with public agencies and key clients
  • Support major pursuits, proposals, and interviews, contributing to win strategies
  • Represent the firm as a technical leader in the marketplace
  • Drive innovation in structural design, materials, and delivery methods
  • Ensure adherence to QA/QC processes and regulatory requirements
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards (AASHTO, ACI, AISC, local agency requirements)
  • Stay current with industry trends, codes, and emerging technologies

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred)
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required; Structural Engineer (SE) license strongly preferred
  • 15+ years of structural engineering experience, including leadership of teams and complex projects
  • Extensive experience with NJDOT, NJTA, and/or other major transportation agencies
  • Demonstrated success delivering large-scale infrastructure or transportation projects
  • Strong knowledge of structural design standards and regulatory requirements
  • Proven ability in client management, project delivery, and business development
  • Experience working with public agencies and alternative delivery methods (DB, CM/GC, P3) is a plus
