About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide functional and disciplinary leadership of a Quality team of approximately 8–10 employees within a defined indication.
- Hold overall responsibility for all product-related quality activities across the entire product lifecycle.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive quality strategy for the assigned portfolio and ensure effective deployment into operational structures.
- Actively contribute to product strategy from a quality perspective in coordination with relevant interface functions.
- Ensure patient safety and regulatory compliance while considering national and international requirements.
- Take responsibility for quality risk management, including identification, assessment and control of quality-relevant risks.
- Establish appropriate measures for early detection of errors and initiate sustainable improvement actions.
- Serve as the central point of contact for quality-related escalations within the portfolio and coordinate cross-functional resolution processes.
- Manage and engage relevant internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficient handling of quality-critical issues.
- Monitor quality-related KPIs and derive appropriate actions for the continuous optimization of product and process quality.
Requirements
What you’ll need- University degree in a natural science (e.g., Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biology) or a comparable qualification.
- Several years of professional experience in Quality Assurance within the pharmaceutical industry, ideally with responsibility for product-related quality activities.
- Experience in functional and disciplinary team leadership as well as in managing complex quality processes.
- Solid knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and GMP guidelines in an international environment.
- Experience in quality risk management and in assessing and prioritizing quality-relevant issues across the product lifecycle.
- Strong strategic thinking with the ability to proactively integrate quality considerations into product and portfolio decisions.
- Confident handling of escalation situations as well as strong coordination and decision-making skills.
- Structured, solution-oriented and responsible working style with a high level of execution capability.
- Very good communication skills in German (min. C1) and English, and experience working with international interfaces.
- High quality and sense of responsibility with a clear focus on patient safety and compliance.
