About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • You support our clients in day-to-day operational tasks such as budget planning, budget vs. actual analysis and ad-hoc analyses, and the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements according to HGB and international standards (e.g. IFRS, US GAAP), gradually building your expertise across all finance areas.
  • In addition, you contribute conceptually to projects such as the creation and further development of management reports (e.g. using analytics tools).
  • Design and implementation of new process structures in general and sub-ledger accounting processes as well as in classic controlling processes (budgeting, planning, reporting).
  • Implementation of new accounting standards (e.g. IFRS 16) and drafting of new accounting guidelines.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Degree in Economics, preferably with a focus on Accounting and Controlling, or a comparable commercial vocational qualification.
  • At least 2–7 years of professional experience in accounting or controlling.
  • Confident use of a common ERP system (e.g. SAP or DATEV) and good MS Office skills.
  • Willingness to travel as required in a consulting environment.
  • Team player with strong communication skills and pronounced analytical abilities.
  • Fluent German language skills.
  • High level of initiative and enjoyment of independent project work.
