About the role

  • Lead and build the Rust-native backend, including APIs, microservices, and system architecture
  • Integrate and manage real-time messaging infrastructure using WebSockets and event-driven services
  • Oversee Solana-based OleX token, smart contracts, wallet logic, and payments architecture
  • Build backend framework for AI-powered features (translation, recommendation, content analysis)
  • Ensure security, scalability, and performance across systems, especially crypto and gambling
  • Define technical strategy, partner with CEO, align technical goals with company's vision
  • Mentor and coach a young, global, remote engineering team operating on deferred compensation

Requirements

  • 7-10+ years as a CTO and have led engineering teams at early-stage startups
  • Strong background in Rust and is an active coder
  • Experience launching or scaling token-based platforms; prior ICO experience is a big plus
  • Experience in blockchain (Solana) smart contract development, wallet logic, payments architecture
  • Experience with AI/ML features, translation, recommendation engines, content analysis
  • Experience with real-time messaging infrastructure using WebSockets and event-driven services
  • Ability to ensure security, scalability, and performance in crypto and gambling environments
  • Remote team leadership and mentoring distributed engineers across multiple time zones
  • Willingness to work for deferred compensation until funding closes
  • Ideally has access to capital or investor connections (preferred)
