About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Apply broad knowledge of engineering principles and practices within a specific discipline
- Independently evaluate, select, and adapt standard techniques, procedures, and criteria for conventional projects
- Contribute to multidisciplinary teams and acquire general knowledge of related fields
- Apply sustainability concepts to engineering projects
- Design complete projects, systems, components, or processes
- Prepare specifications, drawings, and project documentation
- Design and conduct site investigations; analyze and interpret survey data
- Formulate and solve engineering problems using standard and adapted methods
- Oversee moderate projects or contribute to parts of large-scale projects
- Plan, execute, and manage scopes, schedules, and budgets
- Contribute to project meetings and present aspects of engineering assignments
- Incorporate change management practices and commercial impacts into design activities
- Assign tasks to and direct junior project team members
- Interpret, organize, execute, and coordinate detailed engineering work

Requirements
What you’ll need- Higher Education (NVQ+)
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline (Master’s preferred)
- Membership of a Professional Engineering Institution
- CSCS Card or SHEA Water Qualification
- EUSR Water Hygiene Qualification
- Typically 3–5 years of relevant engineering experience, including project design and coordination
