Key responsibilities & impact- Govern the portfolio of Salesforce ecosystem applications, managed packages, integrations, and third-party solutions
- Maintain the system of record for application inventory, ownership, capabilities, vendors, contracts, licensing, utilization, costs, lifecycle status, and dependencies
- Establish and maintain application governance and lifecycle processes
- Partner with business, operations, finance, sales support, procurement, and technology stakeholders on portfolio planning and investment decisions
- Monitor utilization, adoption, and consumption trends to identify optimization and rationalization opportunities
- Maintain total cost of ownership visibility across licensing, consumption pricing, vendor commitments, and operational costs
- Develop business cases and investment recommendations quantifying costs, value, resources, and operational impacts
- Develop and maintain mappings connecting business processes and outcomes to applications and technologies
- Collaborate with enterprise architecture and Salesforce platform teams on dependencies, integrations, managed packages, and ecosystem relationships
- Coordinate information security, risk, privacy, legal, and architecture reviews for applications and AI-enabled technologies
- Develop dashboards, reporting, and portfolio insights for leadership
Requirements
What you’ll need- 7+ years of experience in application portfolio management, technology governance, Salesforce ecosystem management, business operations, vendor management, procurement, or related disciplines
- Demonstrated success managing cross-functional stakeholder relationships and technology investments
- Experience with enterprise SaaS applications and software licensing models
- Ability to evaluate utilization, costs, vendor commitments, and business value
- Experience managing or supporting application lifecycle processes, including onboarding, governance, enhancement planning, renewals, rationalization, and retirement
- Strong understanding of business capability mapping, portfolio governance frameworks, and operational processes connecting technology investments to measurable outcomes
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- Strong analytical, financial, organizational, and communication skills
- Salesforce platform knowledge, including Salesforce applications, managed packages, integrations, and ecosystem governance
- Experience using portfolio management, inventory management, reporting, or governance tools
- Strong data analysis and reporting capabilities, including dashboards, metrics, and executive-level reporting
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools
- Ability to document application inventories, business capabilities, technology relationships, integration dependencies, and lifecycle status
- Familiarity with Application Portfolio Management practices, Salesforce administration or governance, vendor management, contract negotiations, technology investment planning, AI-enabled technology governance, enterprise architecture, capability modeling, application rationalization, and portfolio optimization
- Must be authorized to work in the United States full-time without employer support or sponsorship now or in the future
