About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Contribute to the design and development of backend services using Java and/or Python
- Build APIs and microservices using frameworks like Spring Boot (Java) or Flask (Python)
- Write and optimize SQL queries and gain experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL
- Participate in code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting backend issues
- Work with CI/CD tools such as Git and Jenkins as part of the development workflow
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to understand requirements and deliver features
- Demonstrate a learning mindset, ownership, and a “can‑do” attitude
- Follow best engineering practices and contribute to a positive team culture
Requirements
What you’ll need- 0–3 years of experience in software development or backend services
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Academic or project experience using Java or Python (at least one; both preferred)
- Understanding of: Java Spring Boot or Python Flask, REST APIs and microservices fundamentals, SQL and relational databases
- Familiarity with version control (e.g., Git) and basic CI/CD concepts
- Strong problem‑solving skills, curiosity, and willingness to learn
- Good communication and collaboration skills
