About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as primary legal counsel to designated Sales Vice Presidents and their teams.
- Independently manage a portfolio of existing commercial agreements while drafting, reviewing, and negotiating new contracts.
- Support steady weekly sales deal flow and manage periodic spikes in transactional volume.
- Draft and negotiate complex commercial agreements, including master services agreements, data licenses, amendments, and statements of work.
- Advise business partners on legal, regulatory, and business risks.
- Monitor relevant legislative, regulatory, and industry developments impacting financial services and commercial contracting.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Juris Doctor (JD) degree and 4 plus years of experience as a practicing attorney.
- Commercial contracting experience in a sales-supporting or customer-facing environment.
- Experience drafting and negotiating complex agreements (e.g., MSAs, data licenses, amendments, SOWs).
- Knowledge of regulated data and financial services or credit-related products.
- Working knowledge of the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA).
- Familiarity with GLBA and ECOA is beneficial.
