About the role
- Act as a trusted partner to associates, managers and CoEs by providing consultative support on employee relations matters including performance, corrective action, employment policy interpretation, and conflict resolution
- Support enforcement of company policies and procedures to help maintain a positive work environment and ensure consistent and equitable treatment of associates
- Draft and review performance management documentation, including corrective action and termination notices
- Review workplace complaints and issues
- Recommend and facilitate appropriate resolution
- Conduct and provide guidance on reasonable accommodation processes, and advise on leave-related matters, in compliance with ADA, Title VII, PWFA, FMLA, and related laws
- Manage the employee relations case management system, ensuring accurate documentation, timely issue resolution
- Analyze the data and identify trends and recommend proactive solutions to support a positive workplace culture
- Provide quarterly analysis and reporting
- Support reduction-in-force activities, including separation documentation, severance calculations, and coordination of outplacement services
- Fulfill annual reporting requirements, including OFCCP, AAP, EEO-1, VETS-4212, and state pay data
- Recommend program improvements based on data and findings
- Assist responses to internal and external requests for records and information, including audits and subpoenas
- Support development and delivery of training and information sessions on HR initiatives to educate associates and leaders on HR initiatives, workplace matters and best practices
- Collaborate cross-functionally on enterprise-wide HR initiatives
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience advising on Employee Relations and corrective action across multiple jurisdictions
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
- Familiarity with relevant employment laws (e.g., Title VII, ADA, FMLA)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and PowerPoint
- Experience using HR Acuity or similar case management systems
- Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, matrixed environment
- Ability to manage sensitive matters with discretion and professionalism
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, analytical thinking and attention to detail
- Experience with mandatory reporting requirements (e.g., EEO-1, AAP, VETS-4212)
