About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Serve as a technical leader within national, cross-functional engineering teams
Mentor junior and mid-level developers
Collaborate with product management, business stakeholders, and customers to align technical implementations with product lifecycle, delivery timelines, and user experience goals
Lead pair programming sessions to resolve complex issues
Implement observability, code coverage, and vulnerability testing using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, Cursor, and CodeRabbit
Produce technical documentation, investigation reports, QA testing frameworks, and user/developer guides
Design and develop scalable microservices and processing pipelines using C#, TypeScript, and similar languages
Deploy solutions across Azure, AWS, and GCP
Build APIs and integrate modern and legacy third-party systems
Build modern, responsive front ends using Angular, Vue, TypeScript, and .NET
Incorporate real-time protocols such as SignalR
Guide the transition from traditional Microsoft web architectures to cloud-native, serverless, AI-centric web and mobile applications

Requirements

What you’ll need

20+ years of professional software engineering experience
Proven track record as both a solo developer and technical team leader
Experience within an established software product organization
Strong understanding of scaling software, Domain-Driven Design, and user-centric workflows
Ability to guide technical design decisions and choose optimal engineering solutions
Ability to mentor team members through complex framework dependencies
Strong skills in C#, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5/CSS3, and SQL
Experience with Azure, GCP, Kubernetes, Docker, and Git
Experience working across Windows, Linux, and macOS environments
Experience with ASP.NET Core, MVC, Angular, Vue, WPF, WCF, and gRPC
Bachelor's or Associate degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related technical field
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Must live in the United States
Candidates must not require or hold EAD, OPT, or H1B work authorization
