About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as a strategic finance partner supporting senior Enterprise Technology leaders with budgeting, forecasting, technology spend management, and investment planning
  • Lead or participate in large cross-functional projects
  • Provide financial insight and ownership for strategic initiatives, including data validation, review, analysis, and reporting
  • Review and interpret data to determine past performance and projected financial results for complex assignments
  • Support planning and next steps for financial data
  • Deliver financial analysis for two technology development teams
  • Support and oversee actual financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and mid-term plan processes
  • Collaborate with technology leaders and management on cost control
  • Lead identification, execution, and tracking of efficiency initiatives and report progress against targets
  • Create communications for complex messages for strategic and operational audiences
  • Develop business relationships across management levels and partner with senior management to meet business goals
  • Partner with financial analysts supporting tactical and operational levels of infrastructure technology development teams

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent experience
  • Ten years of financial analysis experience
  • Experience in the insurance, financial services, or investment management industry
  • Expert knowledge of accounting and finance
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strategic thinking and ability to communicate business, market, and legislative issues at a macro level
  • Organizational and prioritization skills, with ability to make timely decisions using appropriate information
  • Excellent written, oral communication, and presentation skills
  • Advanced computer skills in MS Office, Excel, and financial business systems
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without immigration sponsorship
  • Preferred: CPA or advanced degree
  • Preferred: Extensive knowledge of financial services and technology support
  • Knowledge of GAAP principles
  • Knowledge of Oracle ERP, Power BI, and/or Apptio
