About the role
- Support the selection, diligence, onboarding, and ongoing oversight of third-party asset managers
- Support and/or lead the due diligence of individual investment opportunities and new investment strategies, including underwriting, documentation review, and committee presentations
- Support and/or lead the day-to-day management of the structured asset and real estate portfolio
- Support and/or lead the development and implementation of investment and risk management strategies, portfolio optimizations, and portfolio construction
- Monitor market developments, conduct in-depth sector and collateral research, and formulate investment views to support the management of the portfolio
- Lead the development of quantitative modeling frameworks, portfolio management tools, and the onboarding and integration of new technologies
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to lead strategic initiatives focused on delivering superior investment results and maximizing value creation.
Requirements
- 6-8 years of progressive experience in investing in public and private structured assets and real estate debt
- Experience underwriting and/or diligencing complex private structured credit transactions
- Experience working with complex transaction structures, reviewing documentation, and evaluating collateral
- Excellent modeling and analytical skills, including modeling cashflow waterfalls, collateral pools, and individual assets
- Familiarity with insurance investment concepts, insurance regulatory frameworks, and risk-based capital
- Advanced Excel skills and prior experience working with Intex and/or Trepp with a focus on modeling
- Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative discipline
