About the role

  • Lead daily security valuation processes for mutual funds, exchange-traded funds (ETFs), and other investment vehicles.
  • Ensure compliance with valuation policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Oversee pricing vendor due diligence and evaluate pricing sources for accuracy and reliability.
  • Manage exception reporting and resolve pricing discrepancies in collaboration with portfolio managers and subadvisers.
  • Coordinate with fund accounting, audit, and compliance teams to support net asset value (NAV) calculations and financial reporting.
  • Identify and implement automation solutions to improve efficiency, reduce manual errors, and accelerate reporting.
  • Monitor market events and assess impact on security pricing and valuation methodologies.
  • Support fund launches, mergers, and other corporate actions from a valuation perspective.
  • Participate in valuation committee meetings and contribute to policy updates and governance.
  • Provide input on accounting treatment and financial reporting disclosure requirements for complex financial instruments, including over-the-counter (OTC) derivatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field
  • Seven years of experience in fund administration, security valuation, or investment operations
  • Strong understanding of financial instruments, valuation techniques, and market data providers
  • Experience with pricing service providers such as Bloomberg, Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), and London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG)
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Leadership and team management capabilities
  • High attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines
