About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for assigned direct material commodity categories
  • Conduct market, supplier, spend, and trend analysis to identify sourcing opportunities
  • Manage RFI/RFP/RFQ processes and vendor negotiations focused on total cost of ownership
  • Evaluate, qualify, and manage supplier relationships and performance
  • Resolve supply issues and enforce contractual terms and obligations
  • Develop risk mitigation plans for geopolitical exposure, supply disruptions, capacity constraints, and single-source dependencies
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities through supplier consolidation, contract optimization, and value engineering
  • Negotiate and manage supplier contracts, renewals, modifications, and performance reviews
  • Develop and track procurement metrics, savings, compliance, and supplier performance
  • Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Finance, and Administrative teams
  • Lead project planning, decision-making, and escalations
  • Act as a subject matter expert for procurement processes and systems
  • Support production continuity and customer delivery requirements
  • Prepare business cases, sourcing recommendations, and management presentations
  • Ensure procurement, contractual, regulatory, ethical, sustainability, and responsible-sourcing compliance

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, engineering, business, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing and procurement
  • Expertise developing and executing comprehensive supply chain strategies
  • Ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Negotiation expertise with a record of securing favorable terms
  • Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced global environment
  • Ability to analyze complex spend data, market trends, and supplier performance
  • Deep understanding of supplier relationship management and strategic partnerships
  • Experience with procurement tools, systems, and spend analysis platforms
  • Ability to independently manage priorities, drive results, and solve problems
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to influence stakeholders
  • Procurement certifications such as CIPS or CPSM are a plus
  • Background check and drug test required
