About the role
- Own and lead special projects across finance and accounting in collaboration with the Controller
- Act as project manager for accounting-led initiatives with guidance from the Controller
- Serve as primary owner of technical accounting matters with Controller oversight
- Ensure consistent application of accounting policies across all entities aligned with Controller guidance
- Act as primary reviewer and trainer for staff accountants across functional areas working closely with the Controller
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Master’s a plus)
- 5–8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including month-end close ownership
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and practical application in a corporate environment
- Experience preparing and reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements
- Proven ability to manage the full monthly close process under tight deadlines
- Experience with revenue recognition and accrual accounting (ASC 606 exposure preferred)
- Familiarity with lease accounting (ASC 842) and fixed asset accounting a plus
- Experience supporting audits and working directly with external auditors
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, large data sets)
- Experience with accounting systems such as NetSuite, Workday Financials, QuickBooks, or similar ERP platforms
