About the role
- Create customer content using HTML, CSS, Javascript, and Liquid templating language within required SLO
- Collaborate with team members to gather requirements and troubleshoot content issues
- Perform peer code reviews and provide feedback to ensure content meets Total Expert standards for accessibility, responsiveness, and performance
- Create and maintain internal team documentation, templates, and reusable components
- Translate technical topics for non-technical stakeholders and customers as needed
- Ensure custom content is scalable and reusable for future use cases
- Stay current on feature releases and updates within the Total Expert platform and adapt development practices accordingly
- Proactively test and validate email rendering and browser compatibility across supported clients
- Identify opportunities to improve tooling, workflow efficiency, and automation of repetitive tasks
- Participate in cross-functional projects with Product, Engineering, and Marketing to support long-term content innovation
Requirements
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers to establish and clarify technical requirements
- Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously across cross-functional teams
- Ability to operate both strategically and tactically within the scope of customer projects
- Highly self-motivated, organized, and capable of making independent decisions
- Passionate about building great products, solving complex problems, and contributing to scalable solutions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- 1–2 years of coding or web development experience (Computer Science degree or equivalent experience preferred)
- Experience using an HTML email framework such as Foundation for Email
- Experience working with email testing tools (e.g., Litmus, Email on Acid)
- Preferred: experience with Adobe Creative Suite, specifically InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator
