About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Delivering targeted, high-impact 1-on-1 tutoring for high school math courses
- Creating customized, outcome-driven lesson plans aligned with student school curricula
- Maintaining proactive, consistent and positive communication with parents and students
- Tracking long-term student growth and refining instructional strategies throughout the school year
- Coaching, mentoring, and evaluating academic tutors across various subjects
- Conducting session observations, reviewing tutor session feedback, and providing actionable guidance
- Collaborating with the Director of Training and Curriculum to design training materials
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven experience teaching or tutoring high school math
- Mastery of advanced high school mathematics through AP Calculus AB and AP Calculus BC
- Demonstrated experience coaching, evaluating, or mentoring teachers or tutors
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- A degree in Mathematics, Math Education, STEM, or a related field—along with a teaching credential or Master’s/Ph.D.—is strongly preferred.
- Passionate about fostering deep relationships with students, parents, and fellow educators.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with exceptional time management, communication, and process-adherence skills.
