About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Responsible for global oversight, standardization, and alignment of the organization’s EHS framework across international aviation operations
  • Establish and maintain global EHS policy, procedures, and minimum performance standards
  • Monitor organizational conformance to applicable requirements through governance, performance reporting, and escalation
  • Provide functional oversight, guidance, and standardization support to Regional EHS Coordinators/Leads
  • Monitor regional EHS conformance, performance, and risk trends through defined reporting, reviews, and governance
  • Escalate systemic issues, material nonconformities, and significant events through the defined pathway to the VP Safety, Quality, Risk
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve global EHS policies, standards, and procedures
  • Identify, assess, and manage health, safety, and environmental risks associated with aviation maintenance
  • Establish expectations and provide oversight for EHS incident reporting, investigation coordination, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
  • Provide consolidated EHS performance reporting, trend analysis, and risk insights to executive leadership and governance committees

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree (EQF Level 6) in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline; professional certification preferred (e.g., NEBOSH Diploma/Certificate, IOSH membership TechIOSH/CertIOSH/ CMIOSH or equivalent such as CRSP/CSP)
  • Familiarity with management system concepts (including interfaces to ISO 9001) and EHS standards (e.g., ISO 45001/14001) is an asset
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive EHS experience in aviation, industrial, or operational environments, including international or multi site responsibility
  • Demonstrated experience developing and deploying global policies and standardized procedures across regions
  • Strong working knowledge of EHS regulatory frameworks, risk management, incident investigation, and audit processes
  • Proven ability to lead through influence in matrixed, multicultural environments
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and executive level reporting skills.
