About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Gather, analyze, validate, and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
- Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, and requirements sessions.
- Translate business objectives into detailed application requirements and user stories.
- Create clear process documentation, business workflows, and functional specifications.
- Develop wireframes, diagrams, and visual documentation using tools such as Visio.
- Analyze complex business processes and enterprise systems to identify improvement opportunities.
- Interpret technical concepts and communicate them effectively to business stakeholders.
- Demonstrate understanding of enterprise software, databases, SQL, APIs, and data flow diagrams.
- Support analysis of multi-tier application environments.
- Maintain Agile artifacts including product backlogs, epics, features, user stories, tasks, test plans, and test cases using Azure DevOps (TFS).
- Participate in Agile Scrum, SAFe, Kanban, and Waterfall project activities.
- Collaborate closely with development teams, product owners, testers, and project managers.
- Support sprint planning, backlog refinement, and project documentation activities.
- Develop high-level test strategies, test plans, and test cases.
- Support system integration testing and assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Validate requirements through testing activities and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Document business processes using swim lane diagrams and flowcharts.
- Support implementation of new systems and business process changes.
- Facilitate communication between technical teams and business users.
- Resolve conflicts, negotiate priorities, and present recommendations to technical and executive stakeholders.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of Business Analyst experience supporting IT projects.
- 5+ years of experience working on IT software/application projects.
- 5+ years of experience as an Agile Business Analyst with strong knowledge of Scrum methodologies.
- 5+ years of experience with Scrum, Scaled Agile (SAFe), and Kanban methodologies.
- 5+ years of experience organizing and maintaining sprint and product backlogs.
- 5+ years of experience translating business strategy into application requirements and user stories.
- 5+ years of experience documenting test strategies, test plans, test cases, and executing test cases.
- 5+ years of experience analyzing and documenting business and system processes.
- 5+ years of experience working with multi-tier applications.
- Strong experience conducting stakeholder interviews and requirements workshops.
- Experience using Azure DevOps (TFS) to manage Agile work items, test plans, and test cases.
- Experience creating business process models, swim lane diagrams, flowcharts, and visual documentation.
- Experience supporting both Agile/Scrum (including SAFe) and Waterfall project environments.
- Strong understanding of enterprise software, SQL, APIs, and data flow diagrams.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Experience supporting system integration testing and User Acceptance Testing.
- Must physically reside within the United States for the duration of the assignment.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, now or in the future.
- Must complete both a web cam interview and a required in-person interview.
- Must be willing to work onsite at least three days per week as determined by the hiring manager.
