About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Applied AI Software Engineers work within small teams composed of Tomoro and client engineers to design, develop, and deploy AI applications, such as agents built on LLMs.
As you gain experience and expertise in this role, you may lead these teams, drive end-to-end solutions, and advise clients on these topics.
The applications we develop typically leverage existing foundational models, whether proprietary or open source, sometimes involving adaptation or fine-tuning.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Hands-on experience developing AI solutions in production, including:
Designing microservices (including data pipelines with frameworks such as Spark)
Data technologies (Python, SQL)
LLMs & fine-tuning (open source models and OpenAI APIs)
Designing software solutions, primarily around data-driven applications using Python, SQL, and related technologies
Solving complex problems and performing technical analysis
Comfortable with client-facing interactions.
