About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Travel to customer sites to install, fix, repair, and maintain CNC machine tool equipment and controls
- Use online technical documents, manuals, and vendor resources to research machine issues
- Complete and submit accurate documentation to the office and customers regarding machine issues, repairs, and installations
- Promote and perform preventative maintenance on customer machine tool equipment
- Conduct after-sales technical support and training
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of the machine tool industry and the company’s represented product lines
- Perform related duties as required
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong mechanical and electrical proficiency
- Demonstrated ability in mechanical/electrical repair or engineering desired
- CNC repair background is a plus
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics required
- Microsoft Office or similar software experience is a plus
- Ability to use a laptop, smartphone, and various software applications
- Excellent technical, communication, and presentation skills
- Ability to regularly lift 40–50 pounds
- Flexible hours
- Frequent travel and driving throughout a regional territory
- Ability to access all areas of customer premises
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods
- Ability to bend, twist, stoop, reach, and lift materials up to 50 pounds
- Ability to use hands and arms frequently
- Ability to stand, walk, kneel, crouch, climb, and reach for extended periods
- Ability to work in tight spaces or awkward positions, including equipment interiors and elevated areas
- Strong hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills for precise electrical, mechanical, and diagnostic work
- Ability to work in industrial environments with noise, lubricants, coolants, metal chips, and other manufacturing conditions
- Ability to consistently wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
