About the role
- Business Development & Acquisition: You identify new business opportunities, manage your pipeline and forecast, build long-term client relationships, and take full responsibility for acquiring projects for the Operations area.
- Key accounts: You systematically develop key accounts and expand our network across the DACH industrial sector.
- Strategic partnerships: You develop forward-looking strategies together with C‑level decision-makers, support complex transformation processes in production, and ensure sustainable impact.
- Production consulting: You design and implement programs for Operational Excellence (e.g., Lean, TPM, OEE), Smart/Digital Factory (e.g., MES, analytics, automation), production planning & control, footprint and capacity optimization, and similar topics.
- Team leadership & development: You live our company culture as a leader, continue to build out the Competence Center, and coach the Competence Center lead in the team’s development.
- Thought leadership: You position TMG Consultants as a thought leader in production consulting, develop innovative consulting approaches, and represent the company at the highest level.
- Entrepreneurial responsibility: You actively contribute to the company’s financial success, assume growth and results responsibility for the Operations portfolio, and help shape strategic corporate decisions.
- Innovation & excellence: As part of the partners’ circle, you continuously further develop our consulting methods, sharpen our Operations methodology toolbox, and set new standards for excellent client service.
Requirements
- Several years of experience in a senior role in management consulting with proven success in client acquisition and project responsibility, with a focus on production/operations.
- Strong expertise in production as well as strategic thinking and the ability to understand and shape complex interdependencies.
- Excellent academic degree (PhD preferred) in a relevant discipline from a reputable university.
- Outstanding commercial skills (pipeline management, value propositions, proposals & pricing, C‑level negotiation) and a resilient professional network.
- Excellent ability to build and maintain strategic client relationships at C‑level.
- Authentic leadership personality with the ability to inspire teams and enable top performance.
- Outstanding presentation and communication skills in German and English.
- Passion for business development and willingness to take responsibility.
