About the role
- Observe and collect traffic data
- Perform intersection evaluations
- Complete traffic and corridor studies
- Conduct analyses using simulation and modeling software
- Prepare preliminary and final designs
- Develop construction plans for traffic signals, lighting, construction staging, maintenance of traffic, and signing/striping
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
- Strong interest in Traffic Engineering
- Strong interpersonal skills; Ability to work in a team environment
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Valid Driver's license
- BS degree with emphasis in Traffic Engineering or Transportation (Preferred)
- Internship or professional experience in traffic study, traffic plan development or related transportation projects (Preferred)
- Previous experience or training with AutoCAD and/or Microstation (Preferred)
- Prior experience or general working knowledge of traffic analysis software, including Synchro / SimTraffic, VISSIM, RODEL, or CORSIM (Preferred)
