About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide product support directly to major mining customers
Support product performance improvement and customer relationship strengthening
Work at active mine sites, maintenance facilities and industrial locations
Troubleshoot crawler undercarriage systems and components in field environments
Convert field data into practical recommendations
Prepare clear and professional technical reports
Collaborate with customers, sales, engineering, quality and manufacturing teams
Deliver technical training and presentations
Perform inspections around large earthmoving machinery
Support the development of ITM’s future undercarriage solutions
Travel regularly to customer, distributor and remote mine-site locations
Work rotational 14-on/14-off shifts, including extended 12-hour days when necessary

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum of five years of experience in a technical, mechanical, quality, product-support or field-service position
Experience in mining, heavy equipment, earthmoving equipment or industrial manufacturing strongly preferred
Experience working with mining customers, distributors or heavy-equipment maintenance teams is an asset
Technical diploma, trade qualification or post-secondary education in mechanical technology is an asset
Equivalent industry experience will be considered
Strong mechanical aptitude and practical troubleshooting ability
Knowledge of crawler undercarriage systems and components
Understanding of product functionality, applications and operating limitations
Knowledge of earthmoving machinery, operating conditions and mechanical stresses
Familiarity with manufacturing processes, quality standards and production cycles
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and product documentation
Familiarity with mining applications, warranty terms and product-performance criteria
Competence using measuring instruments and field diagnostic tools
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to convert field data into practical recommendations
Ability to prepare clear and professional technical reports
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard business applications
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Effective technical training and presentation abilities
Collaborative approach to working with customers, sales, engineering, quality and manufacturing teams
Adaptability in changing and demanding field environments
Commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement
Valid driver’s licence and clean driving record
Ability to travel by vehicle and commercial aircraft
Ability to work in remote locations and access active mine sites
Successful completion of required background checks and applicable drug and alcohol screening
Ability to obtain and maintain required site orientations, safety training and certifications
Flexibility and willingness to travel when needed, including occasional short-notice assignments
Ability to work extended shifts, including 12-hour days, when necessary
Ability to work a rotational 14/14 schedule
Ability to work indoors and outdoors in changing weather and industrial conditions
Ability to walk or stand for extended periods and safely navigate uneven surfaces
Ability to climb equipment access systems and work safely around large earthmoving machinery
Ability to bend, kneel and perform physically demanding inspection activities
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Ability to wear required personal protective equipment and satisfy respirator-fit requirements
