About the role

  • Responsible for the mechanical development and design of our special machinery
  • Managing the entire machine lifecycle from concept through development, assembly, acceptance, and final commissioning
  • Preparing requirements specifications (Lastenhefte), requests for proposals, and technical documentation
  • Training operators and maintenance teams after commissioning
  • Supporting the creation of preventive maintenance plans
  • Identifying opportunities for improvement and driving further development of mechanical components
  • Operational leadership of small technical teams and reporting on progress

Requirements

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a comparable technical qualification
  • Several years of professional experience in custom/special machine construction
  • Solid experience in 3D design and confident use of CAD systems (ideally Creo)
  • Confident communication in German and English; French skills are an advantage
  • Strong technical analytical skills, logical thinking, and a proactive approach
  • Willingness to travel for around eight one-week assignments per year
