About the role
- Participate in the setup of a new competence center in Bulgaria dedicated to configuration and enhancement requests for our client (a French insurance software vendor).
- Collaborate with the lead consultant and team members to deliver high-quality support to our client and its final users (small or mid-sized insurance brokers operating mainly in France).
- Perform software configuration activities on the VEOS solution, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and alignment with client needs.
- Apply insurance knowledge (mainly P&C: Auto, GLI, Home, etc.) in combination with technical skills to configure and optimize the system.
- Configure and maintain automated document generation processes (éditique) to ensure accurate, timely, and large-scale production of client-facing documents (policies, letters, contracts etc.).
- Prepare and maintain accurate documentation in French.
- Engage directly with the client to clarify requirements, provide updates, and ensure smooth communication.
- Work with a results-oriented mindset, requiring efficiency, productivity, and the ability to optimize processes while maintaining quality.
Requirements
- Previous experience in business consulting, with a focus on the insurance industry, law and/or IT solutions;
- Fluency in French (written and spoken communication);
- Proficiency in Excel functions (e.g. VLOOKUP(), IF(), SUMIF());
- Proficiency in SQL queries and PL/SQL procedures (Oracle 19c, PostgreSQL);
- Functional knowledge of insurance products (mainly P&C: Auto, GLI, Home, etc.);
- Experience with éditique/document management processes (mail merge, automated document generation, Jasper reports, XML flows);
- Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills;
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities;
- Ability to work collaboratively in a new team setup and adapt to evolving client needs;
- Understanding of concepts of software system engineering will be considered as an advantage;
- Previous experience in configuration on business software solutions will be considered a strong plus.
