About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Performing a wide variety of production tasks for the GIS Staff Augmentation Group supporting projects for our client
Assisting and supporting meeting project deliverable requirements and deadlines
Using various GIS software (ESRI ArcGIS) for geographic analysis
Updating Geospatial data on an as-needed basis
Creating maps, reports, and presentations in support of various GIS and technology projects
Working cooperatively with Project Managers and peers to complete assigned work
Troubleshooting problems associated with existing GIS applications, tools, and data

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from four-year college in GIS, Surveying, Engineering, Geography, Information Systems, or related degree
Ideal candidates will have transportation department (DOT) experience
Ideal candidates will have at least one year of related work experience
Experience with stormwater and hydrology a plus
Experience with ESRI ArcGIS Software (Desktop and Extensions, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Server)
Experience with Linear Referencing Systems (LRS) and/or Esri’s Roads and Highways is a plus
Knowledge of ESRI Production Mapping suite of tools, including Data Reviewer, Workflow Manager, Task Assistant Manager is a plus
Technical expertise obtaining, manipulating, and organizing data as well as defining, planning, and implementing analysis and processes
Ability to work independently as well as part of team with excellent time management skills to ensure deadlines are met
Strong oral and written communication skills
Must be able to work with minimal direction to complete tasks and solve problems.
