About the role
- Performing a wide variety of production tasks for the GIS Staff Augmentation Group supporting projects for our client
- Assisting and supporting meeting project deliverable requirements and deadlines
- Using various GIS software (ESRI ArcGIS) for geographic analysis
- Updating Geospatial data on an as-needed basis
- Creating maps, reports, and presentations in support of various GIS and technology projects
- Working cooperatively with Project Managers and peers to complete assigned work
- Troubleshooting problems associated with existing GIS applications, tools, and data
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from four-year college in GIS, Surveying, Engineering, Geography, Information Systems, or related degree
- Ideal candidates will have transportation department (DOT) experience
- Ideal candidates will have at least one year of related work experience
- Experience with stormwater and hydrology a plus
- Experience with ESRI ArcGIS Software (Desktop and Extensions, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Server)
- Experience with Linear Referencing Systems (LRS) and/or Esri’s Roads and Highways is a plus
- Knowledge of ESRI Production Mapping suite of tools, including Data Reviewer, Workflow Manager, Task Assistant Manager is a plus
- Technical expertise obtaining, manipulating, and organizing data as well as defining, planning, and implementing analysis and processes
- Ability to work independently as well as part of team with excellent time management skills to ensure deadlines are met
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Must be able to work with minimal direction to complete tasks and solve problems.
