About the role
- Implement, configure and maintain SAP Payroll solutions (on-premise and cloud), ensuring compliance with clients' legal, tax and payroll requirements
- Participate in implementation projects, roll-outs, migrations (including integration with SuccessFactors Payroll when applicable) and post-go-live support, ensuring deliveries meet deadlines and quality standards
- Perform functional and technical analysis to define payroll requirements, document HR processes and master data mapping, and design integration scenarios (IDoc, RFC, APIs, SFTP, CPI/PI)
- Configure payroll calculation rules, payroll schemas and classes, pay/remuneration tables, taxes and contributions, and country/entity-specific configurations
- Prepare and execute payroll tests (unit, integration and regression), validate results, reconcile amounts and produce test documentation and user guides
- Collaborate with functional teams, SAP consultants, HR and compliance areas to ensure correct application of business rules and legal compliance
- Provide user support, incident resolution and continuous payroll process optimization; propose improvements and automations where applicable
- Contribute to effort estimates, delivery planning and deployment and maintenance activities
Requirements
- 3–5 years of proven experience in SAP Payroll consulting or implementation in SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA environments
- Strong knowledge of payroll configuration
- Experience integrating SAP Payroll with other HR systems, notably SAP SuccessFactors Payroll (valued), and experience with integration technologies (IDoc, RFC, SOAP/REST, SFTP, CPI/PI)
- Ability to analyze payroll data, map and migrate data, use ETL tools and reconcile results
- Knowledge of reporting processes and local tax/legislative compliance; experience with submission files and interfaces to external authorities (social security, tax authorities) is a plus
- Familiarity with basic ABAP or effective collaboration with development teams for fixes and technical extensions — valued but not mandatory
- Good level of English, written and spoken, for communication with international teams and stakeholders
