About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide environmental consulting for hazardous building materials, including asbestos, PCBs, lead, and universal waste
- Conduct environmental assessments and field sampling
- Assist in developing abatement specifications and project documentation
- Perform on-site abatement monitoring and observation during demolition or renovation activities
- Prepare accurate and timely environmental reports
- Collaborate with clients and design teams on renovation, demolition, and new construction projects
- Support regulatory compliance and safe, cost-effective hazardous-material solutions
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3 years of experience in consulting or a related field
- BS degree in Environmental Science or a similar educational background
- Experience with hazardous building material assessment and abatement preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently on small specific assignments and as part of a large multidisciplinary project team
- Fluency with Microsoft Excel and Word
- MA, RI and/or CT Asbestos Inspector and Project Monitor Licensure preferred
- NIOSH 582 Asbestos Analytical Certification preferred; training provided
- OSHA 40 HAZWOPER Certification preferred; training provided
