About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Accompanying patients to exam rooms, preparing patients for exams
  • Performing and documenting vital signs
  • Assisting with procedures
  • Preparing and administering medications with physician’s authorization
  • Performing EKGs
  • Using CPR skills when required
  • Drawing blood providing patient education with regards to office policies, medication, and management of disease, home treatments, and special diets
  • Responsible for stocking exam rooms, cleaning rooms, cleaning instruments, disposing of biohazard waste according to OSHA standards, and performing accurate, legal, and ethical documentation at all times
  • Adhering to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred
  • At least 1 year of related customer facing experience Required
  • Computer knowledge
  • Phlebotomy skills and experience
  • Certified Clinical Medical Assistant - National Healthcareer Association Required or Certified Medical Assistant - American Association of Medical Assistants Required or Medical Assistant - American Medical Technologist Required or National Certified Medical Assistant - National Center for Competency Testing Required
  • Basic Life Support Certified - American Heart Association Required
