About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Drive the development and continuous evolution of Legal, Risk & Compliance architecture roadmaps
- Define capability maps covering current state, target state, and transformation pathways
- Establish reference architectures and design patterns promoting consistency, reusability, and scalability
- Partner with Enterprise Architecture to align solutions with company-wide principles and standards
- Lead architectural governance processes and represent the team in Technical Architecture Governance forums and the AI Center of Excellence
- Translate Legal, Risk & Compliance business requirements into technical and architectural solutions
- Influence stakeholders and drive adoption of best practices and standards
- Lead business process modeling and value stream analysis to identify optimization opportunities
- Develop business capability models and maturity assessments to inform investment decisions
- Define Build vs. Buy principles and technology selection criteria
- Evaluate vendor AI solutions, including GenAI and Agentic approaches
- Recommend AI and automation solutions to close automation gaps and advance the multiyear technology roadmap
- Provide architectural guidance, oversight, and governance throughout project delivery
- Establish and maintain architectural documentation, standards, and guidelines
Requirements
What you’ll need- 8+ years of progressive experience in enterprise architecture, solution architecture, or related technical leadership roles
- Experience in financial services
- Experience with cloud technologies, modern architecture patterns, and/or enterprise integration approaches
- 10+ years of progressive experience preferred
- Experience in Legal, Risk & Compliance, Finance, or HR technology domains preferred
- Proven track record of leading architectural initiatives in complex, regulated environments
- Experience with Technical Debt Management, Application Lifecycle Management, and Products Portfolio Management
- Experience with Domain Driven Design, Data Mesh, AI, GenAI, Agentic, and capability-driven architecture methodologies
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with executive stakeholder management experience
- Experience working in individual contributor roles while providing technical leadership across multiple teams
- Ability to influence without authority and drive consensus across diverse stakeholder groups
- University degree preferred
