About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee delivery of IT and AI audit engagements against budgets, timelines, and quality expectations
  • Guide staff auditors on workload management
  • Lead audit planning and scoping, identifying technology risks and critical controls
  • Develop detailed audit programs, procedures, and testing approaches
  • Conduct complex testing in high-risk IT and AI environments
  • Assess cloud platforms, AI-supporting emerging technologies, cloud-native controls, third-party risks, and infrastructure configurations
  • Identify, analyze, and document audit findings, root causes, impacts, and systemic implications
  • Compile test exceptions and draft audit issues for reports
  • Serve as primary contact for technology and AI audit clients
  • Communicate IT and AI risks and control strengths and concerns to peers, supervisors, and clients
  • Partner with Data Analytics to use advanced analytics and identify patterns and anomalies
  • Coach and mentor staff auditors on IT, AI, and cybersecurity concepts
  • Maintain expertise in IT, AI governance, cybersecurity, and regulatory frameworks
  • Apply professional judgment and critical thinking to complex technical audits
  • Manage relationships across technology and business functions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3+ years of audit and/or IT experience
  • AI-specific auditing experience or relevant AI experience
  • Experience assessing IT infrastructure, AI systems, data flows, cybersecurity controls, and operating procedures
  • Knowledge of IT, AI governance, cybersecurity, and relevant regulatory frameworks
  • Experience with access management, cloud security controls, data loss prevention, and penetration testing
  • Ability to conduct complex audit testing and produce high-quality workpapers and audit trails
  • Data Analytics experience preferred
  • Strong IT background preferred
  • Integrated Audit experience preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience supporting regulatory reviews preferred
  • Experience driving process improvements preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or Accounting
  • CISA preferred; candidates without an active CISA are expected to obtain certification within a reasonable timeframe
  • AI-specific certification preferred
  • Ability to apply critical thinking, professional judgment, and intellectual curiosity to complex technical audits
