About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead the design, implementation, and lifecycle management of enterprise-grade AWS cloud platform infrastructure
Architect cloud foundations optimized for scaled AI and machine learning deployments
Apply AIOps, predictive monitoring, anomaly detection, and AI-assisted infrastructure management
Develop and maintain Terraform/OpenTofu infrastructure as code for automated self-service provisioning
Establish cloud governance, security guardrails, compliance controls, and architectural standards
Drive observability, monitoring, reliability, performance, and proactive issue resolution
Partner with development, DevOps, SRE, security, and AI/ML teams
Lead cloud migration and modernization initiatives, including workload onboarding and optimization
Evaluate and pilot emerging cloud and AI technologies
Serve as a senior technical thought leader and mentor engineers

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of progressive experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure, or platform engineering roles
Deep hands-on expertise across AWS compute, networking, storage, containers, security, and AI/ML services
Experience designing cloud foundations for large-scale AI and machine learning workloads
Experience with GPU compute, high-throughput storage, and secure model serving infrastructure
Experience applying AI and automation to cloud platform operations
Experience designing and operating multi-account environments with AWS Control Tower, AWS Organizations, and AFT
Expertise in cloud security, IAM, zero-trust principles, and regulated-industry compliance frameworks
Proficiency with Terraform, OpenTofu, or CloudFormation, including module design, state management, and pipeline integration
Proficiency in Python, Bash, or similar scripting languages
Ability to lead complex technical initiatives, influence cross-functional teams, and mentor senior engineers
AWS Solutions Architect Professional or AI Specialty certification preferred
Experience with Bedrock, AgentCore, or similar AI/ML platforms preferred
Multi-cloud experience with GCP, Azure, or OCI preferred
AIOps or AI-assisted cloud management tooling experience preferred
Familiarity with FinOps and cloud cost optimization preferred
Experience leading large-scale cloud migration or modernization programs in regulated industries preferred
