About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

design, build, test, and support mission-critical applications that directly serve portfolio managers, traders, and other investment professionals.
lead the design, development, and delivery of full stack applications, with primary responsibility for backend Python services and RESTful APIs.
own and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins or CloudBees.
engage directly with senior investment professionals to clarify requirements.
conduct code reviews, establishing development standards, and mentoring other developers.
participate actively in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation covering architecture decisions, API specifications, data models, and operational runbooks.

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years hands-on experience in Python development for production environments, including the design and delivery of Microservices and RESTful APIs.
Demonstrated experience managing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, CloudBees, or a comparable tool.
Experience with Docker for containerization and Terraform for infrastructure as code.
3+ years of experience using GitLab for source control and code review, and Jira for Agile project and issue tracking.
Proficiency with relational databases including PostgreSQL, Oracle, or a comparable RDBMS platform.
Working with CLO structures, Bank Loans, or Fixed Income securities within an Asset Management or institutional finance context is required.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with senior investment professionals.
Working knowledge of core AWS services is required.
