About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee the strategic and operational performance of the Clinical Negligence team
- Ensure excellence in casework, supervision, and client care
- Manage a caseload of high-value, complex claims
- Mentor and supervise colleagues to uphold best practice standards
- Support team members with case progression and strategic input
- Manage own caseload from initial interview to settlement
- Drive operational and financial performance across the team
- Provide legal advice to Trade Unions, their members, and private clients
- Support business development and raise the team's profile
Requirements
What you’ll need- Qualified solicitor or legal executive
- Significant post-qualification experience
- Proven track record in complex clinical negligence litigation
- Extensive experience running complex clinical negligence cases, including trial, ADR, and interlocutory applications
- Strong supervisory and mentoring skills
- Proven ability to manage team performance and deliver strategic input
- Experience in billing, forecasting, and cost recovery
- Accreditation with the Law Society or AVMA (or equivalent)
- Proficiency in case management systems and legal IT tools
