Costs Administration Assistant
Thompsons SolicitorsCosts Administration Assistant supporting the Costs Team with administrative duties and office efficiency. Handling data input, clerical tasks, and general office duties in a hybrid work environment.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide general administrative support to the Costs team, including data input and retrieval using internal systems
- Carry out routine clerical tasks such as opening and closing cases, filing, photocopying, scanning and post handling
- Organise incoming and outgoing mail and DX, including sorting, packaging and distribution
- Support with data entry on case management systems and spreadsheets, including new case set-ups and recording agreed costs
- Assist with file closure processes, billing and archiving
- Provide ad hoc support to the wider Costs team and cover for colleagues when required
- Undertake general office duties such as preparing bundles, managing deliveries, and supporting day-to-day team administration
Requirements
What you’ll need- You possess excellent organisational and administrative skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy
- Proactive and adaptable, you can work effectively under your own initiative and as part of a collaborative team
- Strong communication skills enable you to interact effectively with colleagues and external stakeholders
- Computer literate with good keyboard skills, you're familiar with Microsoft Word and have experience with electronic case management systems
- Previous office environment experience is desirable, along with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
- You're reliable, dependable, and enthusiastic, with a client-focused approach to your work.
