About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design/layout fire protection systems in specialized CAD software based on AutoCAD platform
- Communicate with AHJ’s, contractors, and other trades
- Conduct and document site surveys and jobsite visits
- Lead the coordination of permitting, inspections, and required materials
- Perform accurate hydraulic calculations for various fire sprinkler systems
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in fire protection system design or Fire system design degree with 2+ years of experience
- NICET Level II required, Level III or IV preferred
- Proficiency with AutoCAD required; HydraCAD & AutoSPRINK preferred
- Strong knowledge of industry codes (IFC, NFPA, IBC, NEC)
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, electrical, and mechanical drawings
- Strong math and computer skills including Microsoft Office
- Valid driver's license and ability to pass drug screen
