About the role

  • We are Theta, a New Zealand-owned technology consultancy helping organisations transform through technology.
  • We’re looking for a Senior Front-End Developer to join our Digital Practice.
  • In this role, you’ll bring user interfaces to life.
  • Develop responsive, accessible, and high-performing front-end applications using Angular and TypeScript.
  • Collaborate with designers, back-end developers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into elegant UI solutions.
  • Integrate front-end components with RESTful APIs and cloud-based services.
  • Contribute to front-end architecture decisions and advocate for best practices.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and testable code.
  • Participate in code reviews, Agile ceremonies, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Mentor junior developers and share knowledge within the team.
  • Stay up to date with front-end trends, tools, and emerging technologies.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience in front-end development
  • Strong hands-on experience with Angular 10+, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS
  • Experience integrating with RESTful APIs and working with JSON
  • Familiarity with responsive design, accessibility standards (WCAG), and cross-browser compatibility
  • Experience with version control (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines
  • Understanding of Agile development practices (Scrum/Kanban)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
  • You’ve helped foster a culture of learning, inclusivity, and innovation
  • A valid NZ work visa, NZ Residency, or NZ Citizenship.
