About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Edit news and public affairs video for web – YouTube, Instagram, Tiktok and other social platforms
  • Manage media storage and organization of footage and finished projects
  • Oversee and adhere to quality control: audio, color correction, and other relevant video specs
  • Manage multiple edits and ensure on time delivery
  • Ensure all video content is delivered to channel managers
  • Additional duties, as assigned.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A minimum four (4) years of relevant experience
  • experience working as a video editor on YouTube- and social-first news programs or journalism sites
  • ability to edit digital video and proficiency with Premiere/Adobe Suite required
  • ability to adapt videos for use on various social media platforms
  • proficiency with media management tools and software
  • technical proficiency in remote content delivery
  • animation skills preferred
