About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- The Events and Development Officer is responsible for managing events and development operations to meet annual fundraising goals.
- Working closely with the Chief Development Officer, implement fundraising initiatives and contribute to planning and decision-making.
- Manage and execute fundraising events, maintaining accurate development systems, including donor database operations (Salesforce).
- Coordinate the production and distribution of fundraising appeals and printed assets.
- Support corporate and foundation partnerships by securing sponsorships, developing grant proposals, preparing reports, and participating in funder site visits.
- Collaborate with the Development Team to prioritize potential donors for engagement.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2+ years of nonprofit fundraising experience, including planning and executing fundraising events.
- Experience using a donor CRM.
- Ability to manage time efficiently and meet required deadlines.
- Excellent written, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills.
- Positive attitude, sense of humor, flexibility, and desire to work collaboratively.
- Experience and comfort with Microsoft Office programs.

- CORI (Criminal Offender Record Inquiry) check following the first interview.
- Reliable car/transportation as role requires ability to travel to events and meetings. Mileage and parking costs are reimbursed per organizational policy.
