Design the build and installation process for mechanical, electromechanical, and/or electrical/avionics products to meet design, regulatory, and business requirements
Build, install, test, diagnose, inspect, and maintain Reliable-designed mechanical, electromechanical, and/or electrical/avionics assemblies, harnesses, interconnects, and COTS products
Conduct design for excellence (DFx) reviews to evaluate designs for cost, producibility, inspectability, consistency, adequacy, accuracy, and conformance to requirements
Collaborate with design, quality, and certification teams to embed manufacturability, compliance, and risk mitigation across prototype, R&D, certification, and production phases
Develop processes and infrastructure to help the business scale, including work instructions, inspections, tests, and records
Develop and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, quality management system, and engineering change orders
Lead root-cause analysis and implement timely corrective actions to maintain schedule, quality, and reliability
Work in a safety-critical environment taking automated aviation systems from prototype to production
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, aerospace, or systems engineering
7+ years of manufacturing, design, and/or testing experience
2+ years of experience with computer-aided design (CAD) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software, such as Altium, NX, and Teamcenter
Research and Development (R&D) or New Product Introduction (NPI) experience (preferred)
Experience with industry or regulatory requirements such as AS9100, CFR 14 CFR 21.137, and/or 14 CFR Part 145 (preferred)
Previous leadership or management experience (preferred)
Prior experience troubleshooting, repairing, setting up, and operating complex hardware in a safety-critical environment (preferred)
Must be willing to travel 10% of the time
