Grow, lead, and work within the Vehicle Design and Integration team reporting to the Director of Hardware Engineering
Drive autonomous vehicle architecture decisions, cross-functional systems design, and integrated systems testing
Direct vehicle-level projects through planning, design, and testing phases
Manage engineers performing vehicle design, system trades, and system-level bench and aircraft testing
Own projects as an individual contributor when needed
Support design and testing of primary flight control hardware, data acquisition systems, hardware-in-the-loop testing, ground station development, and HMI/software integration
Guide schedule and sequencing of large integration projects and prioritize aircraft functions for integration and testing
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in science or engineering or equivalent industry experience
8+ Years of industry experience designing, integrating, and testing electromechanical systems
Solid understanding of engineering fundamentals
Experience applying system design fundamentals
Experience reading electrical wiring schematics
Experience testing systems for proper performance
Experience managing project tasks, milestones, schedules, and execution
Strong interpersonal skills and an interest in people management
Experience designing a system architecture and weighing design options to accomplish specific system requirements
Experience performing vehicle safety assessments, risk assessments, and contingency management
Ability to design, build, and operate test stands and equipment
Excellent measurement, technical writing, and data analysis skills
Eagerness to both teach and learn
Ability to work both independently and as a leader of a high performing team
Must be willing to travel up to 10% of the time
Must provide documentation establishing status as a U.S. person or non-U.S. person; access to export-controlled technology may require U.S. person status
