Logistics Team Lead

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Supervise and manage team.
- A liaison between direct customers.
- Manage and track team performance and target KPI’s.
- Broker Freight.
- Sales Bid on current and potential business.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Preferred 3 years of experience in a freight brokerage or third-party logistics environment
- Preferred 3 years of experience in customer service and sales.
- Required minimum of 2 years of experience in a management role.
- Proven track record bidding and quoting RFP, RFQ, RFI and Awarding Contracts
- Proven track record on freight movements; monthly and annual volumes and revenues.
- Experience in managing a team of 3 or greater employees.
- Knowledgeable in over-the-road trucking (TL and LTL modes)
- Knowledgeable in Flatbed, Dry Van, Refrigerated, and Over-Dimensional freight.
- Knowledgeable on Load Boards (Truckstop and DAT)
- Knowledgeable in TMS and EDI systems
- Preferred Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
