Director of Integrated Technology

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and own M4BL's technology strategy
- Serve as a full strategic partner at the Directors' Table
- Represent M4BL's technology interests at convenings
- Ensure that technology decisions are grounded in the political work
- Identify and manage technology-related project interdependencies
- Directly supervise M4BL's internal tech team
- Model and reinforce that staff can raise issues without fear of judgement
- Create a team culture of trust, psychological safety, and professional growth
- Serve as M4BL's primary strategic liaison to the external IT infrastructure partner
- Develop and maintain M4BL's technology policies, data governance frameworks, and compliance documentation
- Supervise the Web Manager and provide strategic oversight of M4BL's digital platforms
- Work closely with other team leads to support new software rollouts
- Own IT budget planning, vendor relationship management, and contract negotiations for technology services
Requirements
What you’ll need- Substantial technology leadership experience in movement technology, political organizing, or security-forward nonprofit spaces
- Familiarity with the culture, pace, and values of movement spaces is required
- Experience managing external IT vendors or managed service providers
- Strong track record of supervising and developing technology staff
- Demonstrated ability to communicate about technology to non-technical audiences
- Experience developing technology policies in high-trust environments
- Understanding of the specific security environment of political organizations
- Analytical fluency in budgeting, vendor management, and operational planning
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality
