About the role
- Develop and implement political social media content from concept through creation, posting, and analysis
- Create and refine social media formats that make political topics accessible and shareable
- Monitor political and media discourse to identify topics relevant for social media
- Recognize viral moments and produce timely content that leverages political momentum
- Plan and produce posts, Reels, and Stories for multiple platforms, especially Instagram and TikTok
- Perform basic video editing (e.g., captions, edits) and craft engaging captions and post copy
- Independently plan and manage projects and coordinate with colleagues and partners
- Analyze reach and engagement metrics and derive learnings for future content
- Bring new ideas, trends, and tools to the table and actively shape editorial processes
Requirements
- Experience developing and executing political social media content
- Strong sense for topics, timing, and tone within political discourse
- Excellent writing skills and fluency in German – you nail the tone in 280 characters as confidently as in longer texts or video scripts
- Good eye for design and confident skills in graphic design, especially working with Canva
- Experience with video production and editing – you know how to create platform-appropriate content and can add captions and overlays using the tools of your choice
- Very good knowledge of current social media trends, platform mechanics, and reach hacks
- Experience using project management and team communication tools like Trello or Slack
- High degree of responsibility, reliability, and enthusiasm for teamwork
- Interest in political communication and enthusiasm for creative, progressive content
- Availability preferably immediately and full-time (job-sharing possible; feel free to apply as a pair!)
