About the role
- Develop and implement political social media content from ideation through creation, posting and analysis
- Create and refine social media formats that make political topics easy to understand and shareable
- Monitor political and media discourse and identify relevant topics for social media
- Spot viral moments and produce appropriate content that leverages political momentum
- Conceptualize and produce posts, Reels and Stories for various platforms, especially Instagram and TikTok
- Basic video editing (e.g., captions, simple edits) and writing engaging captions and post copy
- Independently plan and manage projects and coordinate with colleagues and partners
- Analyze reach and engagement metrics and derive learnings for future content
- Bring new ideas, trends and tools to the table and actively help shape editorial workflows
Requirements
- Experience developing and executing political social media content
- Strong sense for topics, timing and tone in political discourse
- Excellent writing skills and German language proficiency – you hit the right tone in 280 characters as well as in longer texts or video scripts
- A good eye for design and solid skills in graphic design, especially experience with Canva
- Experience with video and editing – you know how to produce platform-appropriate content and can add subtitles and overlays using your preferred tools
- Thorough knowledge of current social media trends, platform mechanics and reach hacks
- Experience with project management and team communication tools such as Trello or Slack
- High degree of autonomy, responsibility and enthusiasm for teamwork
- Interest in political communication and passion for creative, progressive content
- Availability ideally immediately and full-time (job sharing possible — feel free to apply as a pair!)
