About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct substantive legal research on complex family law issues
- Draft high-quality motions, memoranda, pleadings, briefs, and other legal documents
- Assist with legal analysis and case strategy
- Review case files and supporting documentation
- Provide back-end litigation support to the firm's attorneys
- Deliver accurate, well-reasoned work product within established deadlines
- Collaborate with the firm's legal team on family law matters
Requirements
What you’ll need- Licensed and in good standing to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
- California licensure preferred, but not required
- Minimum of 5+ years of family law experience
- Exceptional legal research and persuasive legal writing skills
- Extensive experience drafting substantive family law pleadings and motions
- Strong attention to detail and ability to consistently meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
