About the role
- Support the functional and hydraulic design of combustion devices
- Review subsystem requirements and carry out trades to define the combustion devices' architecture
- Lead combustion devices, components, and assembly test campaigns (configuration definition, test preparation, execution and results analyses)
- Develop and update fluidic models based on literature review and/or experimental data
- Iterate subsystem designs using simulated and/or real-world test data
Requirements
- Master’s degree or higher in Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- Minimum of 3 years of related experience
- Hands-on experience developing hardware from concept to working prototypes
- Strong technical fundamentals in fluid mechanics, thermodynamics and heat transfer
- Proficient with CAD (Siemens NX is an asset), or other design and analysis (FLUENT or OpenFOAM preferred) software
- A system engineering approach to problem-solving and design trades
- Experience writing software in languages like Python
- Familiarity with cryogenic fluids is an asset
- Fluency in English
